Welcome to 94 Algonquin. Our updated colonial is in one of Clifton Park’s most established neighborhoods – South Crescent Estates. Our home is located in the very back of the neighborhood, so there is very little traffic. We have a third of an acre lot with a small creek owned by the town on one side. The back is surrounded by woods with a private playground on the hill. Our location makes for a very secluded feel just minutes from the Northway.
When we were looking to move back to the area from Chicago 5 years ago, we decided on Clifton Park because we wanted to be half way between Saratoga and Albany to take advantage of both cities. We have enjoyed the many updates: hardwood floors, beautiful kitchen, and high end appliances. Most recently we renovated our master bathroom with a tiled shower. We also replaced the old patio and installed a brand-new deck. Our backyard is our favorite spot in the summer. It’s peaceful and private, and great for gardening in our raised beds.
Take a stroll down the quiet streets and you are bound to run into a friendly neighbor walking their dog, a family out for a bike ride, or someone enjoying their daily run. The neighborhood is a mix of empty nesters who have lived here for 30 years and many young families just starting out. The Vischer Ferry Preserve is a quick 5 minute drive and one of our favorite outdoor spaces. There are several other great parks with lovely trails including Kinns Road Park where you can walk with your dog, unleashed. Mary-Jane Row Dog Park is a quick 7 minute drive. In addition, the beautiful two-story Clifton Park Library and Southern Saratoga YMCA are close by. If I ever ran out of sugar or needed to borrow a gardening tool, my neighbors would always lend a hand. Our daughter has grown to love the private little playground behind our home. While the town owns it, there are only 4 families with access. The Southbury Park playground is newly updated (2017) and only a 10-minute walk down our street.
As our first home and the one where we started our family– it feels bittersweet to leave behind. But we know it is time to pass on our home and share what our neighborhood has to offer. We know you will feel right at home here too!
